1. Dachigam National Park

* Located 22 kilometres from Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir UT.

* Name of the park literally stands for “ten villages”

2. Kishtwar National Park

* Located in Kishtwar, Jammu & Kashmir

3. Hemis National Park

* Located in eastern Ladakh Union Territory.

* Bounded by the banks of the Indus River and the Zanskar Range.

* Largest National park in India

4. Pin Valley National Park

* Located in Lahaul and Spiti of Himachal Pradesh

* Home to Tibetan Buddhist

5. Great Himalayan National Park

* Located in Kullu of Himachal Pradesh

* Area of 1100 km2

6. Kalesar National Park

* Located in Yamunanagar district of Haryana in Shivalik foothills

* Area of 110 km2

* Popular for leopards, panthers, elephants, etc

7. Valley of Flowers National Park

* Located in North Chamoli of Uttarakhand

* The transition zone between the Zanskar Range and Great Himalaya.

8. Rajaji National Park

* Located across Haridwar, Dehradun and Pauri Garhwal of Uttarakhand

* Named after Bharat Ratna C. Rajagopalachari

* Area of 820 km2

* Elephants, leopards, chital and tigers

9. Nanda Devi National Park

* Located in Chamoli of Uttarakhand

* Area of 630 km2

* The fauna found are Himalayan musk deer, tahr, Snow Leopard

10. Jim Corbett National Park

* Located in Nainital and Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand

* Area of 1310 km2

* Oldest national park in India and was established in 1936 as Hailey National Park.

* First to come under the Project Tiger initiative

* The Ramganga river flows through it.

11. Gangotri National Park

* Located in Uttarkashi District of Uttarakhand

* The Holy Gaumukh glacier is located inside the park.

* Area of 2390 km2

12. Dudhwa Tiger Reserve

* Located in Lakhimpur Kheri District of Uttar Pradesh

* Area of 490 km2

* Tiger, swamp deer, leopard, barasingha, elephants

13. Keoladeo National Park

* Located in Bharatpur, Rajasthan

* Famous for avifauna

* Area of 30 km2

* It has a man-made and man-managed wetland.

14. Ranthambore National Park

* Located in     Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan

* Bounded by Banas River and Chambal River

15. Sariska Tiger Reserve

* Located in Alwar district, Rajasthan

* Area of 860 km2

* Bengal tiger, leopard, jungle cat, golden jackal, chital, sambar deer, nilgai etc are found.

16. Desert National Park

* Located in Jaisalmer and Barmer of Rajasthan

* The ecosystem is of the Thar Desert with Sand dunes

* Area of 3160 km2

17. Bandhavgarh National Park

* Located in the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh

* Area of 710 km2

18. Panna National Park

* Located in Panna and Chhatarpur districts of Madhya Pradesh

* Ken River runs in the northeast of it.

* Area of 540 km2

19. Kanha Tiger Reserve

* Located in Mandla and Balaghat districts of Madhya Pradesh

* The largest national park of Madhya Pradesh

20. Valmiki National Park

* Located at the India-Nepal border in the West Champaran district of Bihar

26. Buxa Tiger Reserve

28. Kaziranga National Park

29. Dibru-Saikhowa National Park

30. Orang National Park

* Northernmost lowland evergreen rainforests in the world

32. Mouling National Park

33. Ntangki National Park

39. Phawngpui Blue Mountain National Park

* Located in the Lawngtlai district of Mizoram

40. Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary

* Located over Satara, Kolhapur and Sangli Districts of Maharashtra

* Famous for Asiatic Lion

47. Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary

* Located in Kendrapara district of Odisha        

* Has Ramsar site

48. Papikonda National Park

49. Sri Venkateswara National Park

* Located in Chittoor and Cuddapah districts of Andhra Pradesh

58. Campbell Bay National Park

59. Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park

* Located in South Andaman

* Spread over 20 islands

* Fringing reef corals and nesting sea turtles are a major attraction.

60. Rani Jhansi Marine National Park

* Located in the Andaman

* Lagoons, coral reefs, beaches, lowland evergreen rain forest, semi-evergreen rain forest and mangrove forests ecosystems

61. Mount Harriet National Park

* Located in Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands

* Area of 42 km2

* Has Andaman wild pigs, saltwater crocodiles, turtles and robber crabs, also a butterfly hotspot

62. Periyar National Park

* Located in Idukki and Pathanamthitta, Kerala

* Area of 300 km2

* Both an elephant reserve and a tiger reserve.
